How to send my location on whatsapp with the Location Sharing feature - Confused about telling a friend where we are? Or confused when you have to catch up to the meeting place even though you don't know the location? Easy. We can use the WhatsApp share location feature.

Actually this feature is quite common and also exists in other chat applications. But WhatsApp has the most users. Let this application be an example. After all, the way is not too different. Why is this WhatsApp share location useful? Because, this feature is integrated with map applications on mobile. So people who receive location shipments can get clear direction to the destination.

How to share location

What if we want to tell our location? Here's how:

1. On the chat screen, tap the attachment icon ???? in the application bar to open options. Select Location.
2. Choose location. Usually location suggestions will appear. If it's not one of them, tap the button to share the location below the map (with our location pin point)
3. Finished. Location will be sent in our conversation. 
   

Use the Referral Function from WhatsApp share location

This is what we can do if we receive a share location from a friend:

1. Tap the map in the conversation
2. The map application — I use Google Maps — will open. Now we can see the location of our friend's location.
3. To get a direction, press the Directions button.
4. The map application will calculate the route and show the direction to the location in question.
5. Press Start, and follow the directions to get to the location of your friend.  
   

How to Share Live Location WhatsApp

Now WhatsApp already supports live location sharing. With this feature you can share positions in real-time with your friends. If you are worried about a stalker, just relax. Share live location through the encryption process, and you can determine the time period for sharing this direct location.

The method is the same as sharing an ordinary location

1. Press Attach> Location,
2. Select ‘Share Live Location‘,
3. Determine how long to share,
4. Send.
