• Locate the infied block on the tip of the totem. With this, you should have a structure 4 blocks high.
• Light the totem using a lighter. Make sure to aim in the direction of the infied or you will start fire on all elements.

After applying the steps correctly, you will have successfully summoned Herobrine in Minecraft. It should be noted that it can appear anywhere, so you will have to be vigilant and prepare to run or fight the game monster.

Other methods
Other users of the network claim that it is possible to invoke Herobrine in Minecraft using the "Creative Mode" within the game and typing "D11" to select a seed of the new world. For this you will need:

• Set fire to the stones of the Nelther.
• Go to the command console and type "/ gamemode0" (without the quotes).
  

By doing so, the game climate will change drastically and Herobrine will be summoned. It can appear anywhere on the map, however, if you want to find it you can go to the vicinity of the volcano where it is usually located.
