Officially, Oppo A5s uses a Different Chipset

There, Oppo A5s has a different name. Devices are known as AX5s (and AX5) in certain regions.

The main difference between the Oppo A5s and its predecessor is Helio P35 (A5 using Snapdragon 450).

Both chipsets have Cortex-A53 CPUs, and Helio runs at higher clock speeds. The GPU is also different, this time the vendor embed the PowerVR GE8320, just like Helio P22.

The rest of the Oppo A5s specification sheet is still the same as before. Starting with a 6.2-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 720 × 1.520px.

Notch on the top screen is now smaller with teardrop designs. The selfie camera still takes 8MP photos. For the rear camera available duo lenses, 13MP + 2MP.

Unfortunately, this chipset change does not change the OS, Oppo A5s adopts Android 8.1 Oreo which is styled to Color OS 5.2.

Basically the memory configuration is the same, the base model has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is no change in battery, the capacity is still 4.230mAh.

Oppo A5s come in new colors (Black and Red), not blue and pink. For now, prices and availability have not been confirmed.
